Theresa Scripps

After a four-decade career in the branding, design, and consumer packaged goods industry,Theresa has reconnected with her lifelong passion for animals, particularly horses. 

Her personal connection with horses began as a young girl, enjoying endless trail rides in the Marin Headlands with her Palomino gelding, Sugar Loaf, 

Theresa has been a volunteer at Sunrise for the past 2 years, and joined the board in January 2025. Driven by a belief in the powerful connection between horses and humans for learning, communication and healing, Theresa is actively involved in growing SHR's Equine Assisted Learning and Therapy programs, 

With her skills in strategic planning and project management, we look forward to expanding our reach in the community.
